Summer 2008

This is my favorite picture from this summer so far. I am loving spending all my days and nights with my sweetheart! We are fortunate enough to have family near by so I do get an "off" day and we even get a date night once a week. I am truly going to miss spending most of my days lounging around the house or pool, going to eat lunch w/ "daddy" and taking naps while my little one sleeps!

Our 2nd zoo trip!

Rylie and I decided to go to the zoo because it was going to only be 87 degrees here! She was so excited to get to go but didn't want to get in her stroller at first (as you can see), but once we got ready to see the animals she was so excited to get in her stroller with her "puppy (that's his name- original huh?)We had a good time seeing all of the animals. We even got to see the new baby hippo and giraffe. We also got a great picture of the white Bengal tiger!

Picture Day!

Well, it's that time of year where we just had to get some pictures taken of your sweet little girl! We got up this morning and she decided she wanted to wear her "watameloon" dress. It was quite entertaining to see her try to get herself dressed. We first went to the chapel at the end of our street. She had herself a
big time swinging on the rail and running around up there. She also couldn't resist making funny faces while I attempted to take her picture. Next, we went down to the Mariana and took some pictures of her rocking in a chair and roaming around eating her red lollipop. I stole the idea of taking her picture with a bright red sucker from on of my friends who's a "real" photographer (Betsy Emerson)!I'm not sure who had the most fun- Rylie or me? Hope you enjoy these pictures as much as I have!

Thanks for the shirt MiMi!

She looks soooo big in her new shirt from Mimi.
We had to model it for everyone! When here
hair is pulled back into a ponytail it makes me
realize how fast she's growing up. She is starting
to look like a little girl!

Rylie's First Zoo Trip- March 2008

Rylie loves animals, so we decided to take her for her first zoo trip during my spring break. Betsy was kind enough to let us borrow a stroller (which ended up only holding all of the stuff we brought, Rylie wanted to be held most of the time). She also took our picture on her front porch before we left. Daddy got the wonderful privilege of carrying Rylie around the zoo!! LOL...we had a blast, the weather was great and the train ride managed to relax her enough that she feel asleep before we ever left the zoo parking lot! IF you haven't been to the Montgomery zoo in a while, you need to go.

MY B'DAY! April 10th

I absolutely LOVE flowers. It is one of my favorite gifts.
Through the years, Joseph has been so wonderful to
surprise me with flowers oh special occasions. He even
sent flowers to me one summer (before we married) at
a camp I was working. I was SOOO EXCITED then to
receive flowers. You'd think that as time goes on that
flowers would get old, but NOT for me. I love them. I
know they only last a little while, but they mean so much
to know he thought of me! These flowers were sent to me
at SCHOOL for my birthday. They were extra special b/c
they were delivered to my classroom. They were so
beautiful that I had to share them with everyone. My
birthday dinner (2nd pic) was at Miyako Restaurant here
in Montgomery. WE absolutely love that place. We go
there for EVERY special occasion. If you haven't tried it
it's awesome. You'll never go back to Sho-gun again!!!!!!

BROWNIES

We made brownies to get ready to celebrate my
birthday! One of my favorite memories as a
child was getting to lick the bowl clean when
mom made brownies. She always use to tell my
sister and I that we weren't suppose to eat
too much the eggs could get rotten in our
"tummies"... we'd just giggle and eat it all up!

Joseph, Rylie and I went out for a Sat. ride around
the neighborhood on the golf cart. As you can see, we had
a fun time playing at the playground! We also stopped by
one of our neighbors houses (Sue Darnell) to say hey and
she picked a flower for Rylie. She was so excited!
